Love to Details
Updated: Nov 22, 2021
Hello everyone! I would like to tell you a little bit about what we've been doing these weeks. Probably like the rest of the world we are also concerned about the current situation. We know that one of the reasons for concern is the uncertainty of not knowing when and how this is going to end, but in order to counteract this concern, we must occupy ourselves; occupy the mind, study, read, exercise, if possible, always at home. So now, let's occupy the mind. We continue working on the details, it has been several weeks now, but all this effort is in order to deliver a satisfactory, competitive (but above all) complete experience.
Part of these details are animations, a lot of new animations for the archer and the enemies were added; now everything feels much more fluid.
As I commented some posts ago, we want our games to have personality so all can be remembered as unique. One of the wonders of pixel art is that the mind fills in the blanks. We don't need 20 frames when 4 can give the same result.
We've also been making changes to the UI, one of the most complicated issues in the world of video game development (at least for me). We don't want our players to need to read instructions on how to do understand simple things, like, how the bomb item works.
Without anything more to say at the moment, I wish that we can adapt to what the future holds for us, I know that for some it is more difficult than others, but as humanity, we have already come out of worse situations, so do not lower your spirits and if possible, let's continue doing what we like the most or discover new things.
Take care, wash your hands and stay at home.
